The commission agenda is available at least 72 hours prior to the meeting and is posted on the bulletin board located in the west hallway of the Administrative Center. Notice of any other regular meetings will be given 10 days in advance of the meeting date.
Minutes of regular meetings and any other special meetings are available through the County Clerk’s Office. The County Clerk’s Office is located at the Chaves County Administrative Center in Suite 110.
The Chairman or a majority of the commission members upon 3 days notice shall call special meetings. The notice shall include an agenda for the meeting or information on how members of the public may obtain a copy of the agenda. The agenda shall be available to the public at least 24 hours before any special meeting.
Emergency meetings will be called only under unforeseen circumstances which demand immediate action to protect the health, safety and property of citizens or to protect the public body from substantial financial loss.
