Address Requirements

A new address may be requested through our online portal located on the previous page.  A site plan is required as part of the required documentation necessary for a new address.  The Planning and Zoning office does not assign addresses to accessory structures or dwellings.

Manufactured Home Requirements

Manufactured home placement permits are required before you locate your manufactured home on your property. Address verification from the Planning and Zoning office will be needed before you can get an environmental signature on the manufactured home placement permit application.

Road Driveway Permits

• For State Road access permits, please contact NMDOT 575-840-9301.
• For County Road access permits, please contact Chaves County Road Department at 575-624-6610.
